The Allied States or the Alliance of Free States, the Alliance Forces or simply the Alliance, are a military alliance between the states of western, northern, and central Europe and their colonies formed prior to the second world war as an anti-communist pact at the urging of an alliance of the dictators Oswald Mosley, Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini, Francisco Franco, Vidkun Quisling and Marcel Bucard in reaction to the American and Russian communist revolutions. By the time of the third world war the core of the Allies were Spain, Canada, Brazil, France, Germany, Britain, the Benelux Federation, and the Kalmar Union. Once simply a pact of states with similar enemies, the Alliance has become a suprastate consisting of many nations from around the world that has made repeated grabs for global supremacy with their rival, the Comintern. .

Background

We won, didn't we?

When the guns of the first world war fell silent in October of 1918; the Entente had triumphed over the Central Powers, but the victory seemed hollow. Millions of fine young men and women had died in battlefields across the world. The British Empire went from the world's largest creditor to the world's largest debtor, the Russian Empire had fallen and been replaced by the Soviet Union, and America; having entered in 1914 was left deeply embittered and with a far stronger socialist movement which had already been unifying and consolidating throughout the dying days of the Victorian era. France had seen an entire generation bleed in its muddy fields and much of its industry was left in ruins by years of war and German occupation of its richest provinces. There was victory yes, but it was hollow; empty. Italy had sacrificed hundreds of thousands of youth in gruelling stalemate with Austria-hungary and had but a handful of scrapsto show for it, Japan had gained but a pittance of German islands, For the vanquished; the price was steep; the Hapsburg and Ottoman Empires were dissolved; ancient fixtures of European politics breathing their last after centuries of being central parts of European affairs.

Germany had lost a tremendous number of men and had lived through years of blockade, and after centuries of Konigs and Kaisers, a Republic was born as Kaiser Wilhelm decided to take refuge in neutral Switzerland with his cousin; the recently deposed Tsar Nicholas of Russia. Harsh indemnities were to be paid, Germany lost her entire colonial empire as well as the majority of hermilitary, and much of her territory was carved away for the new states of Poland and Czechoslovakia; or were returned to France, who in turn set up an occupation at the Rhineland. For lesser parts of the central powers; the Czardom of Bulgaria, the industrialized Kingdom of Siam, and little Sweden; the price was much less steep, with territorial integrity being maintained and Sweden reunifying with Finland when it split from Russia. There was victory yes; after four years of gruelling war all over the world, but not many people felt like they had won.

In this post-war aimlessness, the first fascist state emerged in response to the world's first communist one. Mussolini's blackshirts marched on Rome to deliver their ultimatum; accept the fascists or let Italy fall to the Reds. The King of Italy as well as the liberals and conservatives in parliament who thought they could use Mussolini ended up cowing to the fascists, and a new governmental system was now the center of attention on the world stage. For eleven years from nineteen twenty two to nineteen thirty three, the only major Fascist and Communist nations were Italy and the Soviet Union respectively, but the death of the old world order was fast approaching; dealt a mortal blow by the first world war.

It all came crumbling down with the electoral victory of the reds in the 1933 general elections in America; the Worker's Communist Party and its Democratic Farmer Labor Party allies had crushed the Republican party in the election; with the split in the anti-communist vote caused by Huey Long's populist democrats adding insult to injury. A Putsch was attempted to invalidate the election and not allow these democratic communists into power, but the American White army was routed by the year's end and forced to flee to Cuba while the Reds declared a Union of American Socialist Republics. From there, nation after nation in the Americas underwent their own socialist revolutions, and the Soviet Union went from being a lonely pariah state to being a junior partner in the comintern with the rise of Red America.

Though some took the time to profit from the sudden chaos in America by taking what they could of America's overseas possessions; Japan greedily seizing many Islands and even declaring Hawaii and portions of Alaska now part of the Empire for the sake of "security in these trying times" and France happily occupying the Phillipines under the same causus belli; the general reaction was panic. America was the heart of global capitalism, a bedrock of sensible politics and thought to be a likely ally in the case of a resurgent Germany, an aggressive Japan or Italy, or an opportunistic Soviet Union. Now the UASR was closely tied to the USSR and staunchly opposed to all the existing colonial powers. Blame was thrown around and nobody knew what to do...yet.

Yes, Mister Führer

Another political movement received a windfall from the red tide; Fascism. Japan and Italy were joined by a rising tide of Fascist governments. Hitler came to power in Germany as many in the country panicked at the thought that Communism may spread further; his Nazi party swearing to push back the tide of Judeo Bolshevism and Internationalism. In France and Britain, Marcel Bucard and Oswald Mosley made their own grabs for power, and found establishments willing to trust anyone if it meant stopping the red tide as reports of skirmishes in Canada raised alarms. Though these skirmishes were de-escalated and most Communist attempts to come to power in eastern Europe were overblown in their magnitude, the damage had been done. Liberal Democracy slipped off the face of the Earth and died. Democratic Socialism (and those states that held to the Stalinist model) was now met with the iron fist of dictatorial fascism.

Hitler called together a meeting of the new dictators in 1934, proposing what he called an "Alliance of Free States" as part of a general "Anti-Comintern Axis" to oppose the power of the Communist International. Mosley, Bucard, Salazar,, Mussolini, and Makato agreed, and would in time start inviting their counterparts throughout the world. Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Denmark, Finland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Brazil, Venezuela, Bolivia, Uruguay, Paraguay, Siam, Turkey, Hashemite, and Hungary would all soon sign up throughout the thirties and forties. War in Spain would see a victory for the Fascists as Sanjurjo and Franco took control of the Country against the Comintern backed Republicans and Anarchists. The continuing conflict in China, between the Japanese and their supported rightists in the Kuomintang like Jiang Jieshi against the comintern supported leftists like Wang Jingwei and the CCP as well as the Italian conquest of Greece, Ethiopia, and Albania and Comintern support of independence movements in the colonies of the Alliance proved further sore points.

Hitler wanted war with the Comintern shortly, as did the Japanese military, but Mosley, Salgado, and Bucard successfully argued that they needed to wait. Wait to build up industries, to militarize the colonies and increase their populations in preparation of war as the Comintern was also encouraging baby boom programs. They needed to build up a mighty industrial war machine to wage a war that would span the world. They agreed to set the date of war to 1950, when they would be able to strike with a fully modernized and industrialized war machine. The Comintern of course, would also be stronger by then; but they lacked the militaristic steel in their souls that the Fascists had; so went the reasoning. The development of rapid-construction and production technologies would in particular, be a great boon; while the reclusive Upsilon task force was set on discovering advantages for the Fascist military in any field of research that might show promise.

In 1950, that war would be launched. A war of annihilation unlike anything seen in history up to that point. Not only would the Communist nations be smashed, their people would be crushed so that never again would they be able to challenge the rightful ruling nations of the world. This war would be focused primarily on the old world; with Alliance leaders believing that America wouldn't have the stomach to continue the fight if the Soviet Union fell, and so most effort was directed towards the USSR and China. At first the progress being made was promising; the Comintern had not fully sorted leadership conflicts between America and the Soviet Union and Jingwei's China and was busy with its own modernization programs and the neutral nations of Eastern Europe being rapidly overrun were loathe to trust the communists. However, after it seemed for a time that the world might fall to Fascism, the Socialists rallied; having prepared their counter attacks after years of war and America; less affected by the war than the Soviet Union; began to deploy reinforcements in a seemingly unending tide after stabilizing the situation in North and South America. The continually slowing "glorious advances" became a series of "heroic defenses" and Partisans dogged the Alliance's military at every turn. The Comintern's advantage in industrial output, logistics, and manpower; as colonial troops proved to be unreliable and those liberated by the Comintern's advance were eager to fight for them; began to tell.

Despite boasts of wonder weapons and super weapons that would win the war and many frightful examples of technology being deployed to stem the tide such as the Steel Wall technology and Lasweaponry and even cyborg super soldiers and psychics, the Comintern kept apace with Alliance technological developments and began to continually set them on the backfoot. By 1956 it seemed that the Alliance may very well be defeated despite the ferocity of Alliance counter-attacks against the advancing Comintern; the war had come to the Alliance and Communist forces were advancing deep into the alliance. However, a last ditch deployment of the new nuclear weapons and a counter offensive drive; responded to with the Comintern's own nuclear exchange, would lead to the war being decided on the peace table. Most of the Fascist leaders had died in the final stage of the war when Comintern advances had caught much of the Alliance's leaders in a bunker in Switzerland and buried them in rubble; with the replacements suing for peace while they still could while the Comintern invasion of Britain and the Aquitaine campaign was still in the balance due to nuclear weaponry. Unwilling to continue the war while the threat of nuclear annihilation loomed, the Comintern agreed and withdrew from most Alliance territory, but demanded elections in the Alliance and the dominionization of most of the Alliance's colonies and a drawing down if arms in the Alliance.

Revenge is a dish best served cold

The peace of DeLeon-Debs D.C was quite lenient given that the Comintern was clearly winning the war at the time of its signing. The Comintern had only wrested the Alliance's middle eastern colonies away from them as Iran forged a new west asian pact out of the liberated nations of Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria and drew up the borders of a new Kurdistan. The Eastern European nations invaded by the Alliance now had gone red, with Greece being wrested from Italy while Japan had to give up its puppet states of Manchuria and Inner Mongolia. However; otherwise the Colonial empires were left quite intact, and no puppet governments were placed in the Alliance. The war was over, and it was time to celebrate. As Japan withdrew from the Alliance citing ideological incompatibilities with the liberal governments elected in most of the Alliance, resentment burned in the hearts of many. As the Comintern's media praised the victory and spread their libertine culture with the flowering of the second cultural revolution, the Alliance watched with disgust.

Continuing conflict in Indochina and the fall of both red and blue China to Yan Xishan's Heart Washing Dynasty; as well as other parts of the world made the peace tense at best. Efforts to continue to build up and develop the military in secret progressed as the post war generation grew up, the world growing ever more crowded. Those nations who continued to vote for fascist governments formed the Commonwealth within the Alliance; but worked closely with their more liberal counterparts as many spoke of revenge. While public opinion largely repuditated the actions of the deposed fascist dictators when the scale of their atrocities became apparent; with all having been supportive of not only Hitler's final solution but other atrocities like Mosley, Bucard, and Mussolini's crackdowns in the colonies and Japanese brutality in the pacific and the Integralist's butchery in South America as well as cruelties laid upon civilians and prisoners of war; public opinion was in favor of a "settling of accounts".

In the sixties, a man known as Alex Stewart would come to be supreme chairman of the Alliance of Free States, and though he was an aristocraft and a former member of the Union of Fascist Parties in the Alliance parliament; his seeming advocacy of peace meant he had earned the blessing of the Comintern. In secret though, the Stewart was a man burning with the purpose of revenge. He believed that the Alliance had lost out of incompetence rather than material deficiencies, and that less divisive rulers would be able to win the next world war where the cruelties of the old fascists could not. A populist and an Alliance nationalist who said that the capitalist nations of the world shared a common heritage of civilization; whether Black, Asian, Arab, Indian, or White; Man or Woman, Religious or Not. He pushed a vision of Alliance nationalism to provide a stronger common cause and enhance unity within the organization as well as development of the entirety of the Alliance; working closely with the Upsilon group to advance Alliance technology for a rematch.

Despite the allowance of elections within the Alliance, Stewart and his People's Alliance Party kept on winning elections at every level of government as he was hailed as a statesman of unparalleld ability. He deliberately fostered this cult of personality, and despite his criticisms of the fascists who preceded him; he retained an authoritarian strongman, though ultimately a democrat. Under Stewart's leadership, the Alliance intensified its propaganda war against the Comintern. The Communists were immoral, they were allowing their youth to engage in sexual depravity such as orgies and rampant infidelity, if you asked any of the experts they brought out to speak the Comintern was simultaneously unsustainable with the resources put into "subsidizing laziness" and the "collectivization of success" with its welfare programs and cooperative economies and its "infantilizing of minorities", and also a dire strategic threat preparing to finish the job left unfinished by world war 2 with a vast and dangerous military. It was simultaneously unable to match the Alliance's technological ability due to underrewarding accomplished professionals and playing with dangerous forces it could not possibly understand.

With the help of Upsilon and Alex's chief advisor, a mysterious figure simply known by the moniker of Tarrasque who had overseen the Alliance's psychic research program and headed Upsilon since the start of the fascist era; the Alliance managed to shut down most of the Comintern's intelligence operations within the Alliance;leaving them in the dark as to what the Alliance had planned. Many SPS, MOIS, AIG, and KGB operatives were found to be cooperating with MI6, Abwehr, MIT, and DGSE agents while "training exercises" from the Alliance continually began to stepup. The dominions of the Alliance continually reported to the mother countries in Europe despite their nominal independence of government; the weak steps towards such independence being rolled back in short order as when they couldn't operate through secret channels; they simply used the Alliance parliament to justify essentially taking orders from Geneva. Reports of unusual developments in China and Japan and the countries and non-governmental organizations they operated with were largely ignored, as were concerns raised regarding Tarrasque and Upsilon; the Communists would pay.

War, what's it good for?

With a number of Causus Bellis and confident that the war would not end in nuclear annihilation due to the new defense systems that rendered such strategic options obsolete; the Alliance launched a massive invasion of Comintern territory in 1978, determined to see Communism consigned to the ash heap of history. The Alliance once again advanced with extreme prejudice, though this time their armies were considerably more humane than the ill behaved hordes utilized in the last war, deliberately hoping to win the people of the Comintern over to the Alliance's way of life. Communist irregulars once again harried Alliance troops at every opportunity, and the duels of Thunderer and Retriever Tanks with the Forge and Liberator tanks of yesteryear were replaced by the Drake and Paladin tanks of today against the Furnace and Gear Tanks of the modern era. Jets and missiles were no longer technologies in their infancy but matured into new and deadly forms and the space age gave the world yet another front for constant warfare.

The war came deeper and deeper into Comintern territory and many predicted that victory would soon be inevitable, with the first hard counterattacks being dismissed as but temporary setbacks; unaware that the Comintern was preparing a great trap as the Alliance extended itself. But in the midst of the war, the sudden and rapid offensives of Japan, China, and the shocking betrayal of Upsilon; now calling itself the Dominion of Noxsylvania forced a rapid and painful reshift in priorities. Stewart himself was essentially inconsolable when the news of Tarrasque's betrayal in particular hit him, shutting himself away in his studies even as numerous military disasters unfolded in the face of the Alliance. When he began to recover, Alliance Command had to repeatedly talk him out of continuing to focus on the Comintern; arguing that the other armies currently invading their territory were the higher priority.

Delineating a stable front in the bedlam of warfare like this was a nightmare, and the Alliance strongly needed to reopen lines of supply between its far flung outposts while simultaneously trying to hold back the Comintern's counter offensives. Luckily, despite Upsilon's deep roots in the Alliance, most of the military decided to side with the Alliance governments over the cloned, brain washed, and vat grown hordes of Noxsylvania and the vast arsenal built up through the peace was turned to securing the Alliance victory in the chaotic and confused war. While the Alliance was being slowly pushed back by the Comintern, the Alliance managed to start making gains against their other enemies with a particular focus on Noxsylvania which was perhaps the greatest threat to the core of the Alliance. Once these threats were put out of the way however, Alex Stewart loudly proclaimed that the Comintern would face the wrath of a new counter offensive to resume the war until Communism's fall until he hit a snag even he couldn't overcome.

The Parliament and Command both voted for peace with the alliance; being tired of fighting. Stewart and many hardliners were resolutely against the idea, and the Commonwealth seemed willing to back Stewart over this; so the military decided to launch a coup. General Adrien Bohemond, a young and highly successful commander who had served in battles across the world and come to a rapport with the similarly aged and talented Comintern General Nikita Megalos personally commanded the coup forces with some support from the Comintern's forces spatiowarped in and commanded by Nikita herself. In a fearsome battle in Nice, Alex was ousted from power and the Alliance finally agreed to come to the second peace of DeLeon-Debs D.C and agree to the terms for a new peace. Though the continuing intermittent conflict between the West Asian Pact and the Coalition of Arabian Monarchies was a cause for concern; it was decided to let that front continue to burn while the rest of the world laid down its arms for the most part.

After the peace in September of 1986, the Alliance faced a crisis of identity. Both Fascism and Stewart's Bulwarkism had seen defeat, but many found themselves alienated by the further Liberalization of the Alliance under the banner of Neo-Progressivism. The world is changing faster than ever, with new ideas and technologies appearing every day and the damage done by two enormous world wars had to be repaired. The Comintern remained the enemy, but now there were new people to regard with hostility and suspicion. The Solar Empire and its allies in the Reactionary Guard and Pan-African Union were both enemies due to their competing territorial aims and yet potential allies due to mutual hostilities with the Comintern, the Dominion. As the new millenium began the rise of Noxsylvanian sponsored terrorism has raised new questions in the Alliance as planners start to reconsider whether the Comintern is truly the primary threat to the Alliance as insurgent conflicts continue to rage around the world.

Johanna Johanna Mainfeld is considered to be one of the finest mountaineers the Alps have ever produced. In battle, Johanna wields a prototype power suit fitted with multiple cryogenic weapons capable of very rapidly freezing most targets she's met with and missile launchers to shatter those enemies of hers that she freezes. Her secondary allows her to activate her jump jets; which recharge extremely quickly to allow her for tremendous mobility.

Sturmgeschützwagen The Sturmgeschützwagen replaces the Chasseur Tank. It is armed with a 120mm cannon found usually on main battle tanks, but has no turret. It also has three HMGs for anti infantry duty. It can be ordered to set up a stationary firing position, improving its rate of fire and range.

Sirene Artillerie The Sirene Artillerie replaces the Athena Bombardment Unit. Significantly faster than its counterpart, the Sirene launches 15 rockets in rapid succession at a target area, blanketing it with submunitions. However, it has an extremely long reload afterwards. Alternatively, it can fire a single cruise missile that deals extreme damage to its target.

Phantom Dive Bomber Replaces Javelin Attack Gunship. The Phantom is equipped with a single 1000kg bomb that is highly effective against all ground targets. Its loadout can also be changed on the airfield to a cryo bomb, flash freezing whatever it hits instead.

Gebirgsjäger Elite infantry capable of traversing rough terrain, Gebirgsjägers are not hindered by difficult terrain. They are designed to engage from long range and support armored columns in conventional assaults. Armed with AVG battle rifles, Gebirgsjägers can engage effectively at long ranges. They can also rapidly set up a light mortar position to bombard enemy forces.

Angriffshubschrauber Capable of carrying three squads of infantry, the Angriffshubschrauber is a highly mobile armored helicopter. It is equipped with anti-missile countermeasures as well as an automatic grenade launcher for ground support duties.

General Harold Bellford, The Morning Star

Olivia Armed with a L85C SAW and a wicked British accent, the British commando is capable of putting a substantial amount of accurate machine gun fire downrange. Up close, she is also equipped with highly effective AT grenades. Nearby friendly infantry gain a substantial morale and defense boost when she is around. She can also call in a naval barrage against hard targets, clearing the way for friendly forces. Finally, she can also storm an enemy position, laying down heavy suppression fire while charging at full sprint. This demoralizes nearby enemies and causes them to rout.

Heavy Lander A replacement for the Assault Lander, the Heavy Lander costs slightly more and is slower than its counterpart, but can carry double the troops and is much more heavily armored. Instead of hydraulic howitzers it can release a smokescreen that cloaks nearby units.

Lightning Cruiser Tank Replaces Chasseur Tank. The Lightning is a fast medium tank armed with a powerful anti-tank laser cannon. While effective against armor, it suffers considerably against infantry and fortifications. It is also equipped with smoke grenade launchers that can conceal it for a short period of time.

Thunderer Infantry Tank Replaces Drake Tank. The Drake is a slow lumbering heavy tank designed to support infantry advances. The Thunderer is very heavily armored and equipped with a 150mm cannon that fires HESH ammunition. It also sports 3 HMGs and provides heavy cover to infantry nearby.

Manchester Gunship Replaces Javelin Attack Gunship. Equipped with a twin 40mm belly turret and a port side 88mm AT gun, the Manchester sports far superior AT capabilities than its counterpart. It does lack the infantry erasing power of its counterpart though.

Royal Marines Elite shock troops armed with SCAR carbines and PIAT IV anti tank launchers, Royal Marines are effective against most ground targets at close to mid ranges. They are also very resilient and can take a surprisingly amount of fire. Rumor says that many a Royal Marine has survived a sniper shot.

Imperial Gotterdammerung A modification of the classic Gotterdammerung, the Imperial version comes with added "Siegfried" missile launchers for added punch against all targets and allows it to function as added long ranged anti-air, though it cannot engage the all out defense mode; it can instead choose to fire up a temporary steel wall field that can absorb punishment; though the field dissipates faster the more its shot at.

Sol Sol is a stealthed commando armed with a submachine gun. She can climb up and cliffs as well as scale walls. Her true strength though, lies in the ability for her to paint a target for an Alliance fusion missile strike.

Exterminator Replaces the Devastator. Instead of using cryo and devastation chemicals, the Exterminator is instead equipped with a Fusion torch that is effective against all armor types. The Exterminator can change its spray between a short range cone and a long range stream.

Harbinger Replaces Damocles Bomber. The Harbinger is a single seat medium bomber. Significantly more fragile than the Damocles, but slightly faster, the Harbinger carries a single fusion bomb that is capable of unparalleled destruction. It can also temporarily generate an Iron curtain to protect itself.

Maelstrom Attack Submarine Replaces Sentinel Battleship. The Maelstrom is a fragile submarine that is equipped with fusion torpedoes and cruise missiles. It packs the most firepower out of any bombardment ship by far.

MAD Drone A walking fusion landmine, the MAD isn't fast or fragile, but it can move around and burrow into the ground to become invisible.

Brahmastra The Brahmastra is a 4 man fire team equipped with a 203mm nuclear mortar. It has a slow rate of fire and takes time to set up, but is devastating if left unchecked.

Fusion Halftrack An amphibious halftrack armed with a high grade fusion torch, the Fusion Halftrack's damage output is unrivaled, although it is limited by a crippling short range. Even the mightiest of superheavies will fall in moments if it finds itself in front of the fusion torch.

Construction Yard The deployed version of the MCV, the Alliance Construction Yard constructs buildings and defences, and also generates power. It can be upgraded to unlock higher tier production within its build radius or to unlock the Experimental Tier.

Power Plant Alliance Power Plants burn clean fuel to generate power, and can be upgraded to Fusion Power Plants, tripling their power output.

Armour Facility The War Factory constructs Alliance ground vehicles, and can receive signals from Construction Yards or Command Hubs to unlock higher tier production. It comes with three repair drones that automatically repair units in the War Factory’s radius and remove terror drones.

Sledgehammer Disappearing Artillery Long range base artillery, Sledgehammer Platforms are cheap, slow to reload, inaccurate, and capable of blanketing an area with rockets. To protect themselves from counterbattery fire, they can place an armoured shell over themselves for a short time, and will emerge ready to fire; however, it is faster to simply reload.

Riot-breaker mortars While on the move, heavy fire-teams use grenade launchers good against light vehicles or troops in cover, if little else. Once deployed or garrisoned, however, their mortars can be used to shred and suppress enemy infantry.

Devastator Armored in heavy battlesuits meant to let them weather the storm of urban warfare, Devastators are armed for a single purpose; to get close and provide enemies with a faceful of either super-cooled liquid-helium/water mixes or devastation chemicals to freeze or melt enemies where they stand.

Operative These British trained operatives can disguise themselves as enemy infantry and infiltrate buildings, and their ability to swim means that even structures located on water are not safe, using a wide array of gadgets such as high powered laser pens, cigar rockets, explosive bolas, and wrist dart guns to deal with all manner of enemy targets; and wear sophisticated concealable armour to protect themselves; though an animal scout will sniff them out every time.

Special Serviceman Drawn from the likes of the SAS, the French SOO, and the Fallschirmjägers; Special Servicemen are uniquely suited to paradrop insertions and are potently armed with twin-linked carbines and small; reloadable rocket launchers that can punish vehicles. They can be commanded to sabotage buildings; cutting off their operations with carefully aimed disruptor rockets.

Overwatch Riot Van Armed with powerful microwave focusing arrays that can be used on either infantry or aircraft to deadly effect, the Overwatch riot van can disperse the microwaves it release; creating an area of effect field that causes great discomfort to infantry around it; suppressing them.

Chasseur Tank The favoured light tank of the Alliance packs a shorter 120mm cannon than its counterparts but still packs a very large gun for a light tank by any standards. The Chasseur is also reasonably well defended against most things short of tank fire from the front (though the sides and rear are flimsy) and can utilize a laser designator to increase the rate of fire from its fellows against a designated target.

Drake Tank The main battle tank of the Alliance, the Drake combines heavy armor with a powerful 120mm smoothbore gun capable of heavily punishing any vehicle or structure that gets in its way as well as the capability of carrying two squads of infantry directly to the front in the safety of their potent armor.

Paladin Command Tank A more advanced tank, the Paladin is used by tank company commanders to help coordinate the masses of Allied armor better, and its laser anti-projectile systems can help defend fellow tanks while it lets loose with a potent 120mm cannon and heavy machine gun. The commander can also direct nearby tanks to dig in, increasing their degree of cover.

Athena Bombardment Units Athena Units mark their targets for annihilation with highly destructive Vengeance-4 missiles to rain hell down on the enemy from afar. Their special ability switches between cluster-warheads good for clearing out large numbers of units and single munitions that devastate heavier targets.

Ares Mobile Laser Cannon The Ares Laser beam cannon is the primary tank destroyer of the Alliance which fires a continuous laser beam that is devastating to enemy armour, and it can also heat up its frontal prow, allowing it to be used to ram enemy units.

Gotterdammerung Tank A colossus of the battlefield armed with a pair of 203mm guns fit for heavy cruisers and a pair of twin anti-air autocannons, the Gotterdammerung is the final say in allied armored superiority and can simply crush lesser; inferior vehicles. It may also divert power away from its autoloaders; disabling its guns, and into its active defense systems; letting out a spectacular array of spectrum beams to shoot down incoming projectiles.

MCV The Alliance MCV is the vehicle that deploys into Alliance Construction Yards, making it vital to base construction. Its amphibious capability lets it cross water, and its heavy treads allows it to crush lesser vehicles while on land.

Artemis GAP Vanguards are armed with anti tank bombs that are highly effective against vehicles and a powerful rotary cannon to damage infantry, if not much else. They can also activate their afterburners and speed back to base.

Goliath Transport Plane A powerfully muscular transport plane with five sets of twin self defense autocannons and enough room for twenty infantry or four vehicles (or two tanks, or one Gotterdammerung) that can paradrop out of it and launch an assault, the Goliath is a powerful addition to the Allied air force

Cryocopter Cryocopters are armed with cryobeams which can freeze surface units over time, and can also use their laser designators to pick out and single out an enemy for a harsher hammering by hallied forces, also armed with a 20mm autocannon and small set of missiles, the Cyrocopters can also shatter the targets they freeze themselves.

Javelin Attack Gunship The Javelin is an upgrade from prior generations of converted cargo planes made into gun platforms; being a purpose designed gunship who can devastate targets it presents a broadside to with a huge array of guns and enough armor to let it linger with little fear of any but the heaviest retaliation and can designate an area to strafe with a sweep of sixteen twenty millimeter autocannons. It comes into the battlefield later than the tank hunting helicopters it was devised as a substitute for however.

Ajax Air Superiority Fighter Blindingly fast and armed with quad laser guns effective against everything that flies, the Ajax will punch anything out of the sky in the blink of an eye, if you can afford the absurd price.

Damocles Bomber A very high speed strategic bomber, the Damocles is nearly impossible to intercept before it makes its delivery. Loaded full of cluster munitions, the Damocles can lay waste to an entire area. It can also be equipped with a single self-guided powerful bunker busting bomb, which degarrisons enemy occupied structures in a large area. Once it delivers its bomb it must slow down however; making it vulnerable on the return trip.

Schrodinger Attack Helicopter The Schrodinger is armed with an anti-unit quark beam that increases in power the longer it is fired, and an EMP leech that disables structures while repairing itself, though it cannot use both weapons simultaneously. The Heisenberg can also warp into a different dimension, making it invulnerable but incapable of seeing anything.

Dolphin Submerged when not attacking, dolphins employ their amplified sonic clicks against enemy vessels to good effect, and are especially effective against submarines. They can also jump into the air in order to avoid enemy fire.

Seeker Patrol Boat Potent dedicated seafarers, the Seeker Patrol boat harasses other ships with a light laser weapon and light torpedo tubes, and can keep enemy ships out of a fight with dangerous knock-out gas grenades.

Assault Lander A large craft that can carry four infantry squads, four light vehicles, two tanks, or a single superheavy and move surprisingly swift on land (making for surprisingly useful APCs), the Assault Lander’s hydraulic howitzers allows it to lay down light artillery fire capable of stunning groups of units near the point of impact or killing them.

Riptide Frigate Armed with a number of skyward pointed laser blasters and guided depth charge launchers, the Riptide is dangerous to air and submerged units alike, and can put on an impressive light show with its laser blasters to blind enemy pilots to protect other ships in the Alliance armada as best as possible.

Horizon Destroyer These heavily armoured vessels are armed with triple sets of five inch main guns and torpedo tubes good against ships and shore targets alike, and can also activate their self-repair to maintain themselves while at sea.

Vigilance Cruiser A tough, dependable ship armed with a heavy cryoblaster, and an armoured prow, the Vigilance Icebreaker freezes groups of enemy targets and then rams them or strikes them with its twin sets of rapid firing quad-five inch guns or torpedoes to finish them off. Its secondary is to release a massive cryo-burst, which freezes anything within a large area--though this can also affect the Vigilance itself.

Sentinel Battleship With a mighty loadout of no less than sixteen sixteen inch guns in four quadruple turrets and plenty of secondary five inch and twenty milimeter guns to punish those who get near, the Sentinel can flatten whole coastlines and devastate ships that can't evade its firepower, and can decide to linger around to get a spectrum lock on the target and pump more accurate fire into the target. It is also equipped with torpedo tubes for close quarters engagements.

De Gaulle Aircraft Carrier With their complement of Sky Knight and sky paladins UCAVs and two airfield aircraft, these vessels can bomb surface and engage air target targets from across the map, and can also fire up an iron curtain dome that provides protection for the units within, though it shrinks over time and as it takes fire and the carrier cannot launch planes while the field is active. It is also armed with lots and lots of torpedo tubes.

Odin Space Frigate The Odin is a stealth space frigate used by the Alliance to provide direct battlefield support. It is armed with seven dual laser batteries that are capable of engaging all targets effectively. It is also armed with a directed fusion cannon that deals immense damage to a single target from long range. However, it has a lengthy reload time. Finally, it can also spin up its FTL drive to make a tactical jump to any spot on the battlefield, although it will lose stealth for a period after landing. The jump core can store enough energy for up to two consecutive jumps. However, the ship is fragile and care must be taken when throwing it in harm's way.
